This PFF stat shows just how rough of a Week 1 this RB had...

David Montgomery's value has been in question a lot recently as he is currently entering the final year of his rookie contract. However, he, unfortunately, did not show great things in Week 1 against the 49ers.

Indeed, according to PFF, Montgomery had the worst grade of any running back that played more than 10 snaps in the league...

While he did flash on a few plays, his 20 touches only amounted to 50 total yards. I think that we need relax and be patient as it was only the first week of the season and Montgomery did not play a lot during preseason so this could be him just dusting the rust off a little.

I expect him to bounce back against the division rivals Green bay Packers under the bright lights of Sunday Night football!
