According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Vikings are elevating cornerback Duke Shelley to the active roster from the practice squad.
The fourth-year veteran has appeared in 30 career games with six starts, recording 53 tackles with four passes defended. Shelley played in 11 games in 2020 and 10 more last season when he started a career-high four games.
The native of Tucker, Georgia, was a standout at Kansas State before entering the NFL as a sixth-round selection (205th overall) by the Bears in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Shelley was in Chicago with Vikings Assistant Head Coach Mike Pettine and defensive line coach Chris Rumph in 2021.
