Bears coaches admit that Claypool will be much more involved this Sunday!!
WR Chase Claypool made his Bears debut this past Sunday against the Dolphins, where he caught two passes for 13 yards. It wasn't a particularly flashy start, but that was to be expected given he had been traded to Chicago just five days before kickoff.
However, it looks like Claypool will be much more involved this Sunday against the Lions.
"We're expanding the package for him. He's doing a lot of different things." -- Matt Eberflus on Chase Claypool's growth in Week 2 with the Bears.
It'll probably take a few weeks for Claypool to get up to full speed within the Bears' offense, so don't expect a sudden, massive uptick in his production. However, just having him on the field is a massive advantage for Chicago as Claypool is such a big-bodied receiver.
I think the sky is the limit for him and Justin Fields moving forward.
