The Bears have signed over 15 new players today
The Chicago Bears signed 15 players today to futures deals. Essentially, future deals are camp invites that will give these players a chance to compete and to make the practice squad or even the 53-man roster. Although this might seem unimportant, there will for sure be a few of these guys that will stick around. Some might make the team or others will make the practice squad. Like it or not, futures deals are a key part of having a deep, well-balanced team.
Here is the list of 15 players that were signed today:
1. WR Isaiah Coulter
2. DT Auzoyah Alufohai
3. CB Michael Joseph
4. OL Dieter Eiselen
5. CB BoPete Keyes
6. DT LaCale Londo
7. LS Beau Brinkley
8. P Ryan Winslow
9. OL Willie Wright
10. QB Ryan Willis
11. OL Tyrone Wheatley jr
12. WR Nsimba Webster
13. OLB Charles Snowden
14. OLB Ledarious Mack
15. DB Lamar Jackson
I think it is a great sign that there are 3 offensive linemen on that list. I also really like the potential for Charles Snowden, the 6"7 long rangy athletic edge rusher. I also think that Lamar Jackson (the cornerback) is a really talented player that was stuck in a horrible Jets defense. He could have a pretty solid career in my opinion.
