The Bears have named their honorary captain of the week!
On Wednesday, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus named the team's fifth captain for Week 3. Indeed, safety Eddie Jackson will serve as the honorary captain on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
Jackson brings a rare veteran presence to the team and he is one of the most beloved players in the locker room. His impact on the field has definitely been felt so far this season as well. In fact, he has one interception, one pass defended, and 13 tackles through two games this season.
So far, these are players who have assumed the role of the honorary fifth captain.
Week 1 vs. 49ers: David Montgomery (RB)
Week 2 at Packers: Lucas Patrick (OL)
