The Bears Have Announced Roster Cuts and Moves

As reported by the Chicago Bears Communications department, via Twitter, the Bears have decided to waive TE Jared Pinkney and place DB Adrian Colbert on IR:

This comes as a bit of a surprise, as the Bears just signed Pinkney under a month ago, and have already cut him from the team. Pinkney has struggled to stay on an NFL team since joining the league in 2020.

And with Colbert, the Bears have not disclosed what injury he suffered, but announced that he is on the IR. Colbert signed with the Bears in 2022 as a practice squad member, and then signed a reserve/future contract on January 9, 2023. Like Pinkney, Colbert has struggled to stay on a team since entering the NFL in 2017 as the 229th pick in the draft.
