The Bears have a new player starting at the nickel spot!
It was reported on Monday that the Bears had a new player at the nickel spot. Indeed, CB Duke Shelley was back in the starting lineup.
Shelley, 25, is now in his fourth season with the Bears. You could say that this is. a make-or-break season for the product of Kansas State.
Standing at 5"9, he might not be the biggest player at the nickel position but he makes up for it with great instinct and above-average athleticism.
I think he might be the co-favorite with CB Tavon Young to be in the starting lineup this year. One thing is for sure, I truly expect him to be in the mix and to be involved in some kind of rotation on a weekly basis.
