"Speculation Abounds: Commanders' Potential Trade Scenarios for Bears No. 1 Draft Pick"
The Chicago Bears, known for their bold draft moves, traded their No. 1 pick in last year's NFL draft. Now, speculation swirls around potential asking prices if they were to make a similar move this year.
Ben Solak of The Ringer sparked discussions on Monday after conversing with multiple league executives about the potential cost for the Bears to trade back to the No. 2 pick in a deal with the Washington Commanders.
According to Solak, one executive suggested asking for two first-round picks and a second-rounder, while another proposed that two first-rounders would be the starting point. Interestingly, a third executive refused to set a price, opting instead to let the team trading up from No. 2 make the initial offerafter which, they would negotiate for more favorable terms.
