Should Bears Fans be Worried about Chase Claypool?
Chase Claypool is a player that people like to watch both on and off the field. Claypool's rise to fame came with his infamous TikTok dances in the locker room and even on the field, during his time with the Steelers. Not only was his social media fame on the rise, but so were his NFL stats. Claypool scored a total of 11 touchdowns in his rookie regular season, making him one of the most exciting new faces in the league.
Though he was once this big star, Claypool is not looking like the same guy. In the past 2 seasons combined, he has scored only 3 touchdowns. Claypool was traded in November of the 2022 season to the Bears for a 2nd-round pick. Right now, it's looking like the Steelers won this trade, but will the Bears be happy in the long run?
Though his stats are not living up to his former hype, his career is not over yet. He needs to learn this new Bears system, heal up any form of lingering injury he may have, and create a bond with his quarterback Justin Fields. Many great players have had bad seasons, but it is now up to him to fix his game and be that star receiver that the Bears need.
