Ryan poles makes his first player signing!
Ryan Poles has made his first roster move as a GM. And Bears fans will be happy with this one. He has signed offensive lineman Willie Wright to a futures deal. Although Wright has not seen a lot of action, in the NFL, he was a pretty talented prospect out of the University of Tulsa. He is listed at 6"3 and 330 pounds. Wright was previously with the Browns and the Falcons.
I promise you this won't be the biggest signing of Poles' tenure but, it shows what his priority number 1 is. He wants some Oline. We have been banging the table for him to bring in A LOT of offensive line talent and it looks like Ryan Poles is listening.
The new Bears' general manager and his assistant GM are both former offensive linemen. So, this means they know a thing or two about the importance of not only having a great starting 5 but also having some quality depth. We have seen how fast injuries can happen. With hopefully a lot of good backups like Willie Wright can turn out to be, we will be in great shape moving forward.
