Rumor: Michigan's Jim Harbaugh Eyeing the Chicago Bears as his Potential next Destination
Since all of the "sign stealing" drama came about in Michigan, there have been several rumors regarding head coach Jim Harbaugh leaving college football and coming to Chicago to coach the Bears:
Due to this controversy, Harbaugh may be looking to leave the NCAA, and Chicago would make the most sense.
The last time Harbaugh was a coach in the NFL was back in 2014, where he was coaching the 49ers for 4 seasons. Since 2015, he has served as the head coach for the Michigan Wolverines.
Back in 1987, Harbaugh was drafted by the Bears as the teams first-round selection. He then spent the next 7 seasons in Chicago, until signing with the Colts in 1993.
The Bears are in need of a new head coach, as by the way things are looking now, I would be surprised if Matt Eberflus remains with the team after the 2023 season. The Bears need another fresh start, and Harbaugh should be the perfect coach to lead it.
