Roster Moves: Bears have Signed Former 2nd Rounder Cornerback
As reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Bears have signed Vikings practice squad CB, Joejuan Williams:
Williams was selected by the Patriots as the teams 2nd round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Williams stayed with the team until this past offseason, when he signed with the Vikings practice squad.
Now, the Bears have signed him, and have immediately put him on their 53-man roster.
It looks like injuries may be a reason for this signing, as the Bears defense backs have been dealing with a few injuries. Signing Williams means an extra man, and hopefully we get to see him play, and help the Bears get their first win of the season.
