Roster Cuts: The Bears are Releasing DE Trevis Gipson

As revealed by Bears insider Brad Biggs, the Bears are waiving DE Trevis Gipson:

This waiving comes shortly after Gipson requested to be traded away. It looks like this release comes after not being able to make a deal on a trade.

Now, Gipson is no longer with the Bears, and will most likely sign with a new team very quickly.

Gipson played a solid game in his last Bears preseason performance, where he had 1 tackle, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble.

Gipson was a member of the Bears since being drafted by the team in 2020. Now, he is no longer a Bear after 3 seasons.
