"Over the last couple of years we've heard lots of chatter and push to make some NFL schedule changes. The biggest change people want to see is the elimination of all or at least some pre-season games. We've seen some big names get injured during pre-season games and some have called it pointless. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told Josh Reed of WIVB recently that he's spoke to various coaches across the NFL and the majority of them agree the preseason games aren't needed to evaluate talent. Goodell adds that he doesn't really believe the games have "great value" for fans. While he wouldn't comment on making the NFL schedule longer, there's been lots of chatter about changing the NFL regular season from 16 games to 18 games. The extra home game would create a bigger revenue stream and it's highly possible this is tabled for discussion soon. Would you like to see less preseason games and more regular season games?
