Report: Former Bears Executive is Set to Serve as Raiders Interim GM after Recent Firing
After it was announced late last night that the Raiders fired both head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler, their short term replacements have been revealed.
Filling in for McDaniels, the team named linebacker coach Antonio Pierce their interim head coach, and have named assistant GM Champ Kelly their interim GM:
Prior to working with the Raiders, Kelly was apart of the Bears organization from 2015-2021, serving as the director of pro scouting until 2016, and then switching to assistant director of player personnel until 2021.
Kelly then left Chicago to join the Raiders organization, and served as the assistant GM from early 2022 until now, as he will now serve as the interim GM for the time being.
