"Last week, the Chicago Bears offered Cam Meredith an original-round tender offer of $1.97 million for the 2018 season. The restricted free agent is actively looking for a better offer around the league and rightfully so. Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Tuesday that Meredith visited the Indianapolis Colts. This gives the chance that he could receive an offer sheet from the Colts. The Bears will have the right to match any offer Meredith gets, but they will receive no compensation if they decide to match it. Restricted free agents have until April 20 to sign their tender offers. If Meredith does indeed get an offer sheet from the Colts, the addition of Allen Hurns to the free agent market may lead Ryan Pace to let him go.
