"Could the Chicago Bears sign yet another former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver this offseason? Well, if Allen Robinson had his way, he would be joined by Allen Hurns in the Bears huddle next season.
Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported this morning that the Jaguars will be releasing Hurns after signing both Marqise Lee and Donte Moncrief.
When the news reached Robinson, he tagged both the Bears and his former teammate in Tweet. It is clear that Robinson wants a reunion, but Ryan Pace being interested is a whole other matter.
Hurns broke out during the 2015 season with 1031 receiving years and 10 touchdowns. He signed a big four-year, $40.05 million contract the following offseason, but has never been able to put up the huge numbers again. Since signing two years ago, Hurns had just 961 yards and five touchdowns while missing 11 games due to injury.
If the Bears are interested, there will be plenty of other suitors for Hurns, who should not be unemployed very long. "
