We've heard it all off-season, the Bears are going to suck, Fields is going to suck, the organization is trash, blah blah blah. Well if last nights coverage of the Seahawks/Bears game is any indicator, we still have a lot to prove to the people reporting on us.
It started earlier in the day when ESPN NFL reporter Dianna Russini said on TV, «Justin Fields has no weapons and no offensive line. Bears may be the worst team in football». Then, last night ESPN used their No. 2 team to telecast the game.
Orlovsky and Riddick were adamant even when the Seahawks were down that they were building something special. Are we not? Did we not gut our whole organization this off-season to build a better team for tomorrow? The Bears outplayed the Seahawks last night from starters to reserves we were the better team. We had 3 penalties to Seattle's 13 and only 8 penalties in the off-season so far.
Orlovsky also went on to say that Roquan wasn't worth the hassle, clearly unaware of the importance of the will LB to the new scheme.
Maybe it's too much of a request for them to do some research before commentating, but the media does not seem to want to welcome this new era for the bears. i suppose well have to reintroduce them to Chicago Smashmouth Football this season. Go Bears!
