Over 150 prospects are boycotting the Combine
Two of the biggest NFL insiders, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported last night that over 150 players could boycott the NFL combine. Their respective agents are organizing a boycott of all testing, interviews, and even on-field workouts. The boycott could be stopped if the «bubble» aspect and if some of the restrictions are changed by the Combine.
On Saturday, the NFL Combine informed the prospects via a memo that said the players will be in a bubble environment. Another important point is that each individual will be able to invite one «medical support» person, but they must be fully vaccinated. It also said that any prospect who violates the policies would be disqualified from further participation in the Combine.
This was huge news because the Combine is the most important part of the recruiting process for most of the teams. This is where you can stand out and show what you are capable of doing. Let's hope that both parties are able to reach an agreement because it would truly be a shame if these young men are not able to participate in the Combine.
