NFL Insider Ian Rapoport Speaks out on the Bears DC Alan Williams Rumours, Adds in New Reports
After several rumours indicated that Bears DC Alan Williams had his home raided, as well as Halas Hall, it was soon announced that he resigned from the team.
Though his resignation is indeed true, NFL insider Ian Rapoport is chiming in, and denying many of the reported rumours:
As seen in the tweet, Rapoprt says that the FBI did not raid Halas Hall, former Bears CB and current FBI agent Charles Tillman is not involved, and neither is the NFL.
However, Rapoport did not say anything about the FBI possibly raiding Williams' home, which was one of the rumours going around.
Now, more reports are saying that Williams resigned due to his health and family issues, not anything else, as revealed by Bears reporter Courtney Cronin:
Williams resigned from the team this afternoon, and will no longer be apart of the bears.
