NFL Executive Bashes Bears GM Ryan Poles for Montez Sweat Trade (Video)
Ahead of the trade deadline, the Bears have been openly eyeing a trade for a defensive end. The Bears then made a move on Tuesday, and gave up their 2024 2nd round pick in exchange for Commanders DE Montez Sweat.
In an interview on «The Pat McAfee Show," NFL executive and analyst Michael Lombardi went on a rant about this trade, calling it a dumb move on GM Ryan Poles' part.

As heard in the clip, Lombardi believes Sweat to be a great player, but not great enough for the Bears 2nd round pick.
Montez will also be expecting an expensive contest extension, meaning the Bears either pay the man a lot of money, or he will leave less than a year after being traded.
Lombardi thinks that this is an awful trade, but I say let's wait until he steps on the field and see what he can do.
