NFL analyst convinced that Tom Brady is joining this NFC powerhouse in 2023
Tom Brady, who grew up in the Bay Area, was a massive 49ers fan in his childhood. And ahead of his matchup with his childhood team on Sunday, he reflected on how he feels about the franchise, and also opened up about some "hate" he still has with the team that stretches back to over 20 years ago.
«[I] was lucky to grow up in the Bay Area at that time,» Brady said. «It was just a great time. There was so many great players, great era of football. And I love the 49ers, and I loved them through college and when they skipped over me six times I started hating the 49ers, and that's just the way it went down.»
Even though Brady mentioned that it looks like he may still join them in the future. His childhood team, the San Francisco 49ers, have been rumored as a potential landing spot should Brady decide to play in 2023. According to a report from Jason Cole of OutKick, the 49ers will be interested in Brady if he becomes available:
I agree that the potential fit would be incredible. Brady has been known throughout his career the be an amazing check-down quarterback and who better than RB Christian McCaffrey to catch passes from Brady? No one uses the running backs in the passing attack more than Tom does. This would be a perfect fit for the 45-year-old living legend.
