Newly Acquired Bears DE Montez Sweat Reveals Worrisome Answer in Regards to an Extension (Video)
After the Bears gave up their 2024 2nd round draft pick in exchange for Commanders DE Montez Sweat, all any of the fans can talk about is getting him to sign a contract extension.
If Sweat does not extend his contract, then there is a likely chance that he will leave Chicago once the 2023 season is over.
When asked about extension talks, Sweat answered with:
"I'm sure my agents are talking about it, my agents and them are talking about something. But I'm not really in any of it right now. I'm just ready to get to work"

Former NFL player Clay Harbor then tweeted out a quote from Sweat, that has fans feeling worried. According to Harbor, in regards to an extension, Sweat said:
"I just want to consider everything around me before I make a decision"
Harbor seems to show concern about this answer, which is now worrying fans. The Bears did give away a 2nd round pick, so if Sweat leaves after this season, then this will go down as one of the worst trades of all time.
