Matt Nagy reveals if he regrets how he handled Justin Fields
Former Chicago Bears head coach, Matt Nagy, is not remembered with fondness in the Windy City. Nonetheless, he was involved in the drafting of quarterback Justin Fields, which surely has fans feeling some gratitude.
Nagy, now serving as the Chiefs quarterbacks coach, finds himself in the Super Bowl just one year after experiencing a tumultuous final season with the Bears. Fields' selection sparked excitement, however, Nagy's handling of the rookie quarterback sparked frustration among fans and analysts.
Whether it was Fields' lack of opportunity to challenge veteran Andy Dalton for the starting role, puzzling game plans, or Nagy's inability to tailor his offense to Fields' strengths, it became a question of when, not if, Nagy would be let go. Nagy managed to last until the end of the 2021 season before being fired alongside general manager Ryan Pace
