Matt Eberflus is raving about his new STUD corner
The Bears made, in my mind, an amazing selection when they selected CB Kyler Gordon out of the University of Washington. Gordon was one of my favorite players in this class and I could hardly be more thrilled to see him coming to Chicago.
This was clearly one of the best value picks in the second round of the draft (Pick 39). Gordon was projected by over 50% of the experts to be a first-round pick. It was great to see him still available at pick 139.
Well, it looks like his new head coach is growing very fond of him too.
Indeed, Chicago Bears HC Matt Eberflus said that rookie CB Kyler Gordon "been lighting it up the last two days. The guy has tremendous ball skills. We are very impressed with him."

This is great news. I know that it's only practice and that the team is not even wearing full pads. However, cornerback is one of the only positions where you can really see the talent of the player, even in a practice without pads. With all of Eberflus' experience on the defensive side for multiple years, I am very glad to hear him praising Gordon like that!
Here is the clip of Eberflus talking about CB Kyler Gordon so far:
