Last night, the Blackhawks were involved in a humiliating moment in NHL history
As the Chicago Blackhawks prepare to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, the odds are not in their favor. The Maple Leafs are heavily favored to win, with a -610 betting line, making Toronto the biggest favorite in NHL history.
The starting goalies for the game will be Peter Mrazek and Ilya Samsonov. Samsonov has been performing exceptionally well for the Leafs, with a record of 9-2-1 in his last twelve games. Meanwhile, Mrazek's recent record is less impressive, being 3-4-1 in his last eight games.
The two teams last met on December 11th, 2021, where the Leafs claimed a 5-4 victory. While it would be a pleasant surprise if the Blackhawks upset the Leafs, Toronto has struggled to win games against weaker opponents.
In an update, the Leafs -610 odds proved correct as the Blackhawks suffered a 5-2 loss, with goaltender Petr Mrazek letting in three goals on the first eight shots.
