Jaguars' offensive lineman resigned
It was reported yesterday night that the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed offensive lineman Tyler Shatley to a 2-year deal.
Shatley was one of the players we have seen being linked to the Bears for a while now. He is a very underrated interior blocker. I think he would have brought a great, veteran presence to Chicago, at a cheap price. Ryan Poles will have to look in another direction.
We know that the offensive line is the #1 priority this off-season. With the lack of draft capital this year, most of the work to revamp the line will have to be done via free agency. The good news for us Bears fans is that Poles is a former offensive lineman himself. He knows the importance of being solid up front and he has already participated in a rebuild of an offensive line last season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
