If the Chicago Bears decide to part ways with their beloved player, 19% of their fanbase may seek new allegiances.
Part two of this week's Reacts survey was sparked by the strong reactions of fans who expressed anger at the possibility of the Chicago Bears trading Justin Fields this offseason to draft a rookie quarterback. While it might seem unrealistic to consider quitting on a favorite team over a player's departure, these extreme comments have been observed, particularly on social media, prompting the poll.
Surprisingly, almost a fifth of our fans actually voted in favor of this stance.
However, fans are entitled to support their team in their own way. Some fans, like myself, have always been loyal to the team, regardless of the players on the roster. But then again, I've been fortunate enough to witness a championship in my lifetime.
Perhaps, for those who have supported the team for a lifetime without experiencing a Super Bowl victory, it becomes too much to bear.
The Bears have only managed nine winning seasons since 1992, which equates to a significant amount of disappointment for some fans to endure. Consequently, it appears that 19% of fans are prepared to walk away from the team if they part ways with their favorite player.
