This past week, it was reported by numerous reliable sources that former 1st-round draft pick JaMarcus Russell was fired from coaching at his former high school along with receiving a lawsuit:

According to reports, Russell was fired from the school and given this lawsuit due to him allegedly taking $74,000 which was supposed to go to the school as a donation.
Russell was working as an assistant coach for Williamson High School's football team, the same school he attended as a student and star player.
Russell began coaching at the school back in 2018, but was fired in late-2023. Now, it is being revealed that he was fired due to taking money that was meant to be a donation for the teams weight room equipment.
This lawsuit is set to go to trial later this year.
