Five teams are now in the mix for Trubisky
When the Bears did not follow through on Mitchell Trubisky's fifth-year option, he signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. He backed up Josh Allen for the 2021 season. Seemingly, his year's worth of experience learning under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who is now the head coach of the New York Giants, has intrigued a few front offices around the league.
Yesterday, we got the reports that the New York Giants were going to pursue Mitchell Trubisky very hard in free agency. However, we received the news today that other teams will be involved with the former second overall pick.
According to ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler, the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, and potentially Denver Broncos are all believed to be in the mix for Trubisky.
The report was also saying how much he could make next season and it is pretty staggering:
«Teams are openly discussing whether Trubisky gets $10 million or more annually on a new deal,» the report notes. «That his name is a hot one is not manufactured. It's real.»
