Ex-NFL Coach Rex Ryan Points Out Issues with Justin Fields' Performance.
Heading into the 2023 season, many anticipated Justin Fields to elevate his game, even seeing a potential MVP contender in him.
However, after two matchups, the Chicago Bears' young quarterback hasn't lived up to those expectations. ESPN's NFL expert and former head coach Rex Ryan added his perspective, as highlighted in a tweet by Daniel Greenberg.
"Rex Ryan commented on ESPN about Justin Fields' evident potential. He mentioned that while Fields has immense talent, the Bears seem keen on molding him as a pocket passer. This, according to Ryan, has NFL defensive coordinators breathing a sigh of relief as they prefer him stationary rather than on the move."
So far this season, Fields has a completion rate of 61%, accumulating 427 yards and two touchdowns but has also thrown three interceptions.
Next, the Bears, currently at 0-2, are set to face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 3, where the odds seem to favor another challenging game for Chicago.
