Dolphins Offered Discounted Concession Prices As They Celebrated The 1972 Perfect-Season Team vs Steelers
The Dolphins were honoring the 50th anniversary of their 1972 undefeated team during Sunday night's game against the Steelers, and Miami were turning back the clock in more ways than one. Fans who attended the game at Hard Rock Stadium were able to buy deeply discounted concessions as part of the Dolphins' "1972" pricing. At various locations in the stadium, fans could buy soda for $0.75, popcorn for $1.75 and hot dogs for $2 -- while supplies last.
What an awesome gesture by the Dolphins.
The 1972 Dolphins are the only undefeated team in NFL history. The closest team to go undefeated was the New England Patriots who were undefeated up until Super Bowl XLII when they were defeated by the New York Giants, 17-14.
