Do the Bears already have a rookie as their top receiver?
According to Adam Jahns of The Athletic, Velus Jones has been one of the few bright spots at receiver for the Bears this offseason. The rookie is already giving the defense a hard time and this couldn't be more needed.
The Bears' defense has been vastly out-performing the offense and this shouldn't come as a surprise as Poles used his two top pics in the draft on defense.
The Bears regime is counting on a quantity over quality approach at the receiver position. Hoping that two or three players manage to stand out from the crowds and become contributors on gameday. Aside from Mooney, Jones, and Pringle, the receiver room is deemed very thin and could use some additions when cuts come around.
