DeAndre Hopkins Shares Reason for a Possible Retirement
This offseason has been filled with free agency buzz, especially from WR DeAndre Hopkins. Every week there seems to be a new rumour about where he will sign, but now he is writing about what would make him retire.
On the new app "Threads," Hopkins posted a message, which makes fans wonder what his future will look like. Hopkins wrote:
"I'll retire from football when I'm not a 1k-yard receiver. With that said, I was on pace for 1,400 yards last yearone significant injury in 11 years. I might be playing till I'm 37 the way I feel"

So, if this is true, what happens if Hopkins has a bad year, or is playing for a bad QB? Things happen in the NFL, and even the greats miss out on a 1k season.
That being said, this means that Hopkins is looking for an established QB, and not interested in the young guys who are still in the process. The Patriots seemed to be Hopkins number 1 choice at one point, but, will Mac Jones allow Hopkins to reach 1k?
Bills have also been in the running, but by sharing the field with Stefon Diggs, it will be hard to tell who will be getting the ball more.
