Chicago Bears making progress toward completing purchase of Arlington Park location
The Chicago Bears will remain at Soldier Fields for at least the next few years. However, it's becoming more evident that their time in the stadium is winding down. The McCaskey family is closing on a deal for the Arlington Park property in the northwest suburbs. Once done, they will own 326 acres of land. That is more than enough to construct a new stadium and a surrounding village of restaurants, hotels, and other revenue-producing streams.
Well, great news surfaced yesterday in that department. Daniel Greenberg reported that the Chicago Bears are making progress toward completing their purchase of the Arlington Park location.
This means that the franchise is getting closer and closer to getting its new home. While Soldier Field is such a mythical place and the history inside this stadium is almost second to none, it would be time for a change.
