"With Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy putting together his new coaching staff, many had their fingers crossed that defensive coordinator Vic Fangio would stick around. Fangio's contract had expired and was reportedly being heavily recruited by the Green Bay Packers. Add to the fact that Fangio had interviewed for the head coaching position, many believed the Bears defensive coordinator would seriously look for a fresh start somewhere else. Luckily for Fangio fans, Adam Schefter Tweeted out Friday afternoon that the Bears have reached an agreement to retain Fangio's services. The deal is for three years according to Schefter. It's a huge move by the Bears as Fangio had rebuilt the Bears defense into one of the best ones in the league ranking in the top 10 in a variety of categories. The move will help in the continued development of players like Leonard Floyd, Kyle Fuller, Adrian Amos and Eddie Jackson.
