On Monday, Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced that Acho tore his left pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of the season. While Acho lost a lot of snaps with the acquisition of Khalil Mack, he was still a huge part of the special teams unit. «Sam's a great person, a great player,» Nagy said. «That's a big loss for us.»
The OLB signed a two year contract this offseason and is one of the team's biggest leaders in the locker room. Kylie Fitts and Isaiah Irving will be fighting to grab some of Acho's playing time.
