BREAKING: Chicago Bears have Placed Franchise Tag on Pro Bowler

As reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Bears have placed a franchise tag on Pro Bowler CB Jaylon Johnson:

Johnson and the Bears are still working on an extension, but for the time being he will be franchise tagged.

According to GM Ryan Poles, he and Johnson are close to getting a deal done and that the conversations are progressing well:
