"Ever since the weekend loss to the New Orleans Saints, there's been a movement to bring back quarterback Mitch Trubisky as the starter. Unfortunately for fans and analysts (and some players), head coach Matt Nagy doesn't seem to be on the same page. Even if he was, that plan has hit a roadblock. According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Trubisky has suffered an injury. "Bears QB Mitch Trubisky suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday against the Saints, sources say. Evaluations ongoing. Trubisky came in for a play in the first quarter, kept the ball on a read option, was tackled by LB Alex Anzalone."
Well that really comes out of nowhere. Considering Trubisky's injury history, that doesn't sound too good either.
