Bears writer shares what we should expect from a pissed off Aaron Rodgers
The Bears will be facing the Packers on Sunday Night at Lambeau Field. While the Bears had a solid outing in Week 1, the Packers played a horrendous game versus the division rival Vikings. While this can mean that the Packers are not as dominant as they have been in the past, this can also mean that they will be even more motivated to play well in Week 2.
Here is what Bears senior writer Larry Mayer had to say on the subject:
The last nine Bears head coaches have split the season series with the Packers in their first years on the job: Jack Pardee (1975), Neill Armstrong (1978), Mike Ditka (1983), Dave Wannstedt (1993), Dick Jauron (1999), Lovie Smith (2004), Marc Trestman (2013), John Fox (2015) and Matt Nagy (2018). Ditka's first season was actually 1982, but both games against the Packers that year were cancelled due to a players' strike.
I'm sure Aaron Rodgers will be salty after Green Bay's season-opening loss in Minnesota. But that's OK with Roquan Smith, who said yesterday: «The guy is obviously one of the greatest to ever play the game, and you know as a competitor myself, love going against people like that. I'm sure he will be a little bit pissed off after this last game. Hey, you wouldn't want it any other way. Pissed off, get the best version of him and then we get the dub and it will be even sweeter."
