Bears insider believes Luke Getsy's offense has been making HUGE strides
The Chicago Bears have always been known to have a great defense. Dating back to the 70s and 80s the defenses have always been dominant. Well, it would be very nice for a change to build a team based on a young talented quarterback (Justin Fields) paired with a brilliant offense mind (Luke Getsy, hopefully).
It looks like the offense has taken a great step in that direction in the past few days.
Indeed, Bears insider Adam Hoge mentioned on CHGO a very interesting fact about the Bears' offense lately:
«Take it with a grain of salt if you want, but the offense seems to have turned a corner. Don't get me wrong, the unit still has a long way to go, but we haven't seen a bad day in over a week. That includes two practices last week, two practices this week, and a preseason game. Granted, the first-team offense still didn't score against the chiefs, but Fields held his own and the receivers came down with a couple of impressive catches. Yes, the bar is low, but there has been some functional improvement in the last week.»
This is great news. Especially when you have a new scheme, it's not always easy for players to feel comfortable from Day 1. It's very nice to hear a positive report for a change.
