Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently revealed that he was nearly 90 percent retired at one point this offseason. The announcement was made during an appearance on «The Pat McAfee Show» on Wednesday, which had been highly anticipated due to widespread rumors that Rodgers was considering a move to the New York Jets.
During the show, Rodgers shared details about how his decision to potentially retire unfolded. He disclosed that he had gone into a "darkness retreat" and emerged to learn that the Packers were shopping him around and planning to move forward with Jordan Love. This reportedly did not sit well with the Future Hall of Famer.
Rodgers has since made it clear that he plans to return to the NFL, and rumors continue to circulate that the Jets are the most likely destination. However, negotiations between the two teams are ongoing, and the compensation for any potential trade has yet to be finalized.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future in the league, Rodgers remains one of the most talented and accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history, with numerous awards and accolades to his name. Fans and analysts alike will undoubtedly be eagerly watching to see where he ends up next.
