Green Bay Packer beat writer, Matt Schneidman reported a very interesting fact about the future for the Packers.

Brian Gutekunst, general manager for the Green Bay Packers was asked if there is a chance they let their superstar wide receiver, Davante Adams walk in free agency and not even use the franchise tag. He answered: "Yeah, possibly. There's a lot of things to be determined there.»

It was not the vote of confidence that the Packers' fans would like to see. Because let's be honest, if they do not keep Adams, they also won't keep Aaron Rodgers. It would be the end of this era for the duo in Green Bay. The Packers are probably the team in the worst cap situation right now. They would sacrifice a lot of other needs and even their future by signing Adam to a $30 million contract he wants and frankly, deserves.

As for the Bears, you could like the idea of addition by subtraction by signing Adams in free agency. However, it would not be the best move for Chicago to use, virtually, all of their cap space for one player.
