Adam Schefter reported that former Saints' and Panthers' WR Keith Kirkwood is visiting the Bears today.

While his experience in the NFL is pretty limited, he is such a big receiver. He is listed at 6"3, 215 pounds. He played his college football at Temple University.

Kirkwood has played 4 seasons in the NFL with New Orleans and Carolina, primarily as a special teamer.

A fun fact about him is that he didn't begin playing football until his senior year in high school. Before that, basketball was his No. 1 love.In 2013, he earned a nomination on the McDonald's All-American High School Basketball Team.

The biggest knock on Kirkwood is being able to stay healthy. He has dealt with several injuries throughout his career including missing 15 games a year ago due to a broken clavicle.

He mentioned in a Tweet 16 days ago that he is "The healthiest he's ever been!"

If this is true and he can stay healthy for the entire season, he could etch himself a role in Luke Getsy's offense.

Kirkwood plays the game in a very physical way, he can make some amazing blocks in the run game and he has shown in the past that he can use his size to his advantage on multiple occasions. He is not the flashiest player, but he can certainly make winning plays on the football field.
