2022 NFL Draft: Ideal top two picks for every team

For the Chicago Bears, here is who he had them picking with their first two selections:

Round 2: No. 39 overall -- Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington

Round 2: No. 48 overall -- Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

Chicago does not have a first-round pick as of now because of the team's trade up for Justin Fields in last year's draft. However, the Bears should be able to find a first-round-quality player with their initial selection, like Gordon, to quickly improve their secondary. Their second top-fifty selection (received from the Chargers for Khalil Mack) brings a playmaking receiver in Watson, whose height and speed on the outside will be welcomed.

Gordon is a very intriguing prospect coming out of Washington University. He is listed at 6"0, 194 pounds and he ran an impressive 4,52 40 yards dash.

He showed extremely good athleticism on the field and he has tremendous ball-hawking skills. In fact, he racked up seven passes defended and two interceptions in coverage, while only allowing 20 catches on 40 targets in 2021. He is always a very solid run defender. He has shown, on multiple occasions, that he was willing to make violent tackles on ball carriers. This is something that we know for a fact HC Matt Eberflus loves very much.

As for Watson, he was tremendous at the NFL combine. I know that having a great combine does not guarantee a great NFL career, but it sure helps. Watson had, in my opinion, the best performance of any receiver present at the event.

First of all, his measurements were insane. He is 6"4, 208 pounds and has 10" 1/8 hands. He ran an official 4.36-second at the 40 yard-dash. He also had the longest broad jump of any players yesterday (over 11 feet). However, what impressed me the most was his drills. He ran some great routes and he was extremely fluid catching the ball.

He was also a very productive wide receiver at North Dakota State University where he racked up 800 yards and 7 touchdowns grab in 2021.
