Ryan Poles has made it very clear that he wants to be patient on both the trade market and free agency. He does not want to be stuck with a bad, long-term contract and it is the right way to go about it. However, at some point, he will have to bring in good receivers around Justin Fields.

At this point, the top 3 wide receivers for the Bears are Darnell Mooney, Equanimeous St. Brown and Byron Pringle. While I love what all of these players can bring, you still need more help.
Wide receivers all around the league have been getting traded left and right this off-season. Amari Cooper, Tyreek Hill, Robert Woods, and Davante Adams, have all gone to new organizations in the past month via trades. The market is really low for some of these. For example, Robert Woods and Amari Cooper were traded for a 5th and 6th round draft selections. At this point, Ryan Poles should try and take advantage of the low price tag.
Brandin Cooks
Cooks has been a globe-trotter around the NFL. He has already played for 4 different teams. However, he is only 28 years old and he is still a very productive player. He hauled in over 1000 yards in both of his last seasons in Houston. I think he could be a very good fit in Luke Getsy's offense. Justin Fields' ability to throw the ball downfield to Cooks would be something very exciting to see! Cooks carries a $16 million cap hit this season which is very fine for a player of his caliber.
Check out his deep threat ability:
Laviska Shenault Jr.
Shenault is an uber-talented player that could be a steal for a potential suitor. He is only 23 years old! Many experts have drawn the similarities between him and 49ers' Deebo Samuel. He's part receiver and part gadget weapon. Samuel is a one-of-one type player, but Shenault moves and operates in similar ways on the football field. Shenault was the 42nd overall pick in the 2020 draft and has 150 career touches gaining 1,357 yards and five touchdowns. Injuries haven't been much of a factor throughout his career so far since he's only missed three games in two seasons. He's got great size, speed, and fluidity to run a wide variety of routes from the perimeter. He isn't as explosive over the top as Mooney for example, but few receivers in the NFL boast that type of elite speed.
