As revealed today, the Bears have signed free agent DE Byron Cowart on a 1-year deal:
Cowart was drafted by the Patriots in 2019 as their 5th-round selection. He stayed in New England until being waived ahead of the 2022 season.
Cowart then signed with the Colts for the 2022 season, but only stayed for one year.
Cowart has since bounced around to a few practice squads since, including the Chiefs, Texans, and Dolphins.
In 36 games played, Cowart has a total of 41 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 pass deflection.
