BREAKING: Cowboys All-Pro LB has Announced his Retirement from the NFL at the Age of 28

As announced today, Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch is retiring from the NFL due to medical reasons:
Since entering the league back in 2018, Vander Esch has been a standout player, but injuries have negatively affected his career.
In 2019, Vander Esch was placed on IR due to a neck injury that required surgery. Then in 2020, he underwent surgery again on a broken collarbone. He then re-injured his neck in the 2022 season, and then once again in the 2023 season.
The decision to retire is due to his latest neck injury from last season.
He finishes his career as a 1-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler, appearing in 71 games.
A career cut way too short.
