New Bears veteran is already having a massive impact

Coming into this season, the Chicago Bears decided to add Kevin Byard to their secondary. As it turns out, he is already making an impact with his teammates.
In a website on the Chicago Bears website, it was revealed that Jaquan Brisker texted Byard the night following the team's first day of training camp. It was here where Brisker looked to pick Byard's brain about schemes.
"I just want to see what he sees and vice versa," Brisker explained. "I want to be on the same page, especially since he just came in. I want to be on point. I want to be the number one defense, the number one secondary, so I want to make sure everything is right."
Tyrique Stevenson and Jaylon Johnson are some of the other secondary members who will be looking to make this Bears defense truly special. For now, it seems like their chemistry building has been sensational.
The night after the Bears' first training camp practice, @JaquanBrisker sent a text to @KevinByard inquiring about film, eager to build his relationship with the vet.
'I want to be the number one defense ... so I want to make sure everything is right.'"
As for Byard, he loves Brisker and believes he is a truly hungry and talented player who does things right.
"[Brisker] is a guy that reminds me of myself when I was a younger player," Byard said. "Very hungry. He wants to be All-Pro, and I love that about him. He wants to be the best, and that's how you have to be. Every single day, we're always talking. We're trying to get our communication down to a point where we can just look at each other and already know what we're talking about. But it's been good so far. Like I said, excited to work with him this year."
