YIKES: Former Bears DE and 4x All-Pro Tells Star QB that His Career is Over with Current Team (Video)
Early on this season, it looked like Vikings QB Kirk Cousins was having himself a career year and had viewers already predicting an MVP. Unfortunately, his season ended suddenly, as Cousins tore his achilles in week 8.
After this heartbreaking injury, there has been a debate on whether or not the Vikings will keep Cousins around in the future, and according to former Bears and Vikings DE Jared Allen, he says no:

"You can't pay him. It's a young man's game, it's going that way. It's no barring on his ability, but he blew his achilles out this late in his career. Sorry Kirk, nothing personal"
Allen believes that the Vikings should move on from the 4-time Pro Bowler, as his injury will likely negatively affect his playing ability.
Cousins is also eyeing an expensive extension deal, but with an injury like this, Allen does not think he will get it.
Cousins will be 36 by the time the 2024 season begins, and with his age along with his injuries, teams may not want to commit to a player who may not have very long left in the NFL.
